Even if you are not a fan of kale you may become one after reading this.
Kale is low in calorie, high in fiber and has zero fat which make it a great choice for weight loss or detox. Eating more kale means getting full without adding extra calories or fat. Kale helps your digestive system and provides protein to help you grow the muscle.
Besides, kale has anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory benefits, detoxifies the liver, protects against heart disease, helps your brain to function better, and is high in Vitamin K, Vitamin C, iron, potassium, Vitamin A, and calcium.
There is really no reason why not to include kale in your diet.
Kale is great in smoothies and salads. But you don’t find kale tasty this Kale Peach Salad recipe may blow your mind.
Highly recommend using lemon thyme dressing below.
Here it is.
- 1 bunch Cavolo Nero (black kale), chopped and stem removed
- 2 yellow peaches, sliced
- ¼ cup sliced raw almonds
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- Mix together the dressing ingredients.
- Toss with chopped kale.
- Spread peaches and almonds on top. Serve immediately.
